40 Seriously Cute Dresses & Rompers You'll Live in This Spring

via Dynamite

I love dresses. If there was a zombie invasion and I had to grab one item out of my closet to take with me, I'd always choose a dress. Or, if I had a really tiny bag and was told I could only pack one piece to take on vacation, a dress would always be the one. Desert island? Definitely a dress. Save one item of clothing from a fire? I'd grab the dress. First dates, second dates, anniversaries, baby showers, weddings, interviews - basically, I know that I'll be ready for any situation in a great dress. Here's the problem: we live in Canada. And I know you can technically wear dresses all year long. It's just, well, I never really feel like wearing dresses in the winter. It's like Oscar-nominated movies that you know you should probably watch but you'd just rather binge on something light like Big Little Lies or Real Housewives.  Dresses in the winter just feel like a ton of work - you need to wear tights which always feel constricting and itchy, dresses look really dorky with Sorels and then there's the wind issue which is never fun.

Now that spring's finally here, I am all about dresses and rompers. Any day now, the temps will remain in the teens and then, I could pretty much put all of my other clothes in a storage box and live in dresses and rompers for the next 4 months. You can throw them on without a second thought - no mixing and matching anxiety, no outfit planning required - and always look lovely. They work during the week with heels or chic flats and on the weekends with runners. If your legs are pale or require some lunges, you can always rock a maxi. If you want to show them off, a cute little romper gets the job done, and then some. Basically what I'm trying to say is that you need some new dresses and rompers in your life. Scroll below for my top 40 pretty picks from New Sudbury Centre. Happy FriYAY!
