3 Outfits We'll Be Wearing on Repeat This Summer

via the impossibly cool Rocky Barnes

When faced with a hot summer day, looking cool is always the goal. Summer clothes are supposed to be carefree and easy, but so many of us struggle with going beyond what we already know - whether it's shorts and a tee or our fave summer dress. And so, we simply stick with our go-to's and go.

While summer might seem like the perfect time to chill out, may I suggest chilling in something just a little more interesting? Simply add a handful of new pieces to your wardrobe mix- a cold shoulder top, culottes and a romper - and you'll be weekend wardrobe strong. Scroll down for the 3 outfit combos we'll be wearing on repeat all summer loooong...

FIESTA FASHION | 15 Bright Spring Finds to Get the Party Started

via Harper's Bazaar

Between this week's groundbreaking CHANEL Cruise presentation in Havana (watch it below), to yesterday's Cinco de Maya celebrations, I'm officially ready for a fiesta. The Chanel show eased its way into the party, with sophisticated neutrals gradually evolving into a full spectrum of happy brights. Cinco de Mayo, meanwhile, always heads straight for the piñata, with revelers rocking ruffles, beads and every colour of the rainbow each year until the sun sets(or the guacamole runs out).

If you missed both parties (still waiting for my invite, Karl), don't despair. Now is the perfect time to start infusing playful brights into your wardrobe to get your own party started. See below for my fiesta-ready picks from New Sudbury Centre. Happy Friday!

STYLE NOTES | This ruffled tank is a stand-alone piece thanks to its gorgeous colour and oversized ruffles. Keep the rest of your look simple with white jeans, neutral block-heel sandals and a pair of bright oversized earrings.

OUR PICK | Strappy Cha Cha Top, $39.90, Ricki's

STYLE NOTES | Love your lace-ups but ready for something more fun? A pair of bright laces will instantly reinvent your oxfords anytime you want to add a little extra kick to your look.

OUR PICK | Novi Laces, $9.99, Call It Spring

STYLE NOTES | Add embroidery to a piece and it instantly gives it a personality of its own. This classic blue and white stunner is sure to turn heads at any summer party and is easy, breezy dressing at its best. Look for embroidered off-the-shoulder blouses or woven handbags to step away from your solids this summer.

OUR PICK | Dex Emroidered Dress, $69, Bootlegger

STYLE NOTES | If there's one sandal update to look for this season, it's the block heel. Forget pin thin and impossible to walk in, the block heel is made for dancing for hours on end. While neutral is a practical choice, we're especially smitten with these colour-blocked beauties.

OUR PICK | Block Heel Sandal, $90, ALDO

STYLE NOTES | Like a canvas to Frida Kahlo, a little white dress provides the perfect blank slate to all of summer's super bright accessories. Whether you add a bright headband, a pair of oversized earrings or colourful kicks, every colour will pop extra bright when worn with white.

OUR PICK | Tiered Fringe Shift Dress, $58, American Eagle

STYLE NOTES | This beaded cuff is oversized and amazing thanks to its tassel detail and intricate beading detail - the perfect way to add interest if you typically wear nothing but black.

OUR PICK | Multi-Beaded Bracelet with Tassels, $22.99, Jean Machine

STYLE NOTES | While you can always count on a ponytail or a baseball hat to hide a bad hair day, we're currently obsessed with super wide headbands. This orange stunner makes a major style statement while keeping those flyaways at bay.

OUR PICK | Stretch Headband, $13, American Eagle

STYLE NOTES | Want to wear colour but not sure how to put it all together? A matching set is right on point this season and lets you look on trend without having to overthink it. We're loving the floral print on this lovely little matching set.

OUR PICK | Printed Open-Back Halter Top & Shorts, Dynamite

STYLE NOTES | If you've been rocking your fedora all winter, it's time to replace it with something more celebratory for the warm weather. We are in love with this super fun embellished hat - perfect for keeping you covered all weekend long. I imagine this hat with a long black maxi dress, or a pair of distressed jeans and a floaty white blouse.

OUR PICK | Embellished Panama Hat, $22, ALDO

STYLE NOTES | From a big birthday party to your best friend's wedding, a celebration calls for something, well, celebratory. Leave your sombre little black dress at home and pick up a bright printed dress to show that you're totally ready to party.

OUR PICK | Coral Popover Print Dress, $94.90, Ricki's

STYLE NOTES | No mad mani skills required - these fun nail wraps will give your digits a serious style boost this spring.

OUR PICK | Rad Nails Nail Wraps, $16, American Eagle

STYLE NOTES | If you've got a closet full of neutrals and just can't climb out of your rut, I have only one piece of homework for you - go buy this steal of a scarf. Simply loop it around your neck or tie it on your handbag to instantly brighten up every outfit.

OUR PICK | Multi-Coloured Scarf, $12, ALDO

STYLE NOTES | If you're stuck in an office all day, it can be pretty tough to get your party on. We say, why spend your whole week waiting for the weekend? Sometimes all it takes to brighten your day (and create serious shoe envy amongst your co-workers) is a pair of bright coral laser-cut pumps. Neeeed.

OUR PICK | Suede Pointy-Toe Pumps, $110, Le Château

STYLE NOTES | Whether you're single and looking, married with kids, or already retired, women of every age deserve great sunglasses. We're currently loving these bright Gatsby sunglasses from Ray-Ban - playful and flattering and above all, fun. If you're on a budget, these ALDO sunglasses give you a similar look for less.

OUR PICK | Ray-Ban Gatsby Sunglasses, $220, Sunglass Hut

STYLE NOTES | Suffering from black bag boredom? I'm pretty sure we've found the cure in the form of this rainbrow bright beauty of a clutch. Wear it with white or denim or black, or anytime you need an endorphin boost. So fun, right?

OUR PICK | Rainbow Envelope Clutch, $40, ALDO

TREND REPORT | 3 Reasons You'll Love Spring's Cropped Jeans

Cropped jeans, Kendall Jenner style - via InStyle

I'm always that girl. You know, the one who wears white jeans while everyone else is still wearing black. The one who wears a trench coat in April, even if it's still snowing outside. I've already put most of my winter stuff into storage and replaced it with bright sunglasses, floaty scarves and spring jackets, which I'd rather wear a vest over, or a thin quilted jacket under, than put on my parka even one more time. Once we hit spring, I just can't with all the winter stuff.

Cropped jeans are my new lust-have and they're the perfect solution for those of us who just want to get on with spring already. Every It girl from NY to LA is rocking their crops right now - with little ankle boots on extra cold days and, most notably for Spring '16, with flatform oxfords when you're cool with showing some skin. Call me obsessed. And let's just call it time for a new pair of jeans, shall we? See below for 3 ways to wear cropped jeans this spring. Happy FriYAY!

1. Silver Polarized Aviators, $250, Sunglass Hut | 2. Starburst Ear Jackets, $12, ALDO | 3. Reversible Tote, $65, American Eagle | 4. Concho Belt, $32, American Eagle | 5. Sateen Artist Crop, $59, American Eagle | 6. Flatform Oxford, $90, ALDO | 7. Tuxedo Lapel Knit Blazer, $79.90, Ricki's.

Pale Blue Boatneck Sweater, $39.95, Le Château | 5. D'Orsay Ballet Flat, $13, American Eagle | 6. Kick Crop Jean, $53, American Eagle.
