40 Seriously Cute Dresses & Rompers You'll Live in This Spring

via Dynamite

I love dresses. If there was a zombie invasion and I had to grab one item out of my closet to take with me, I'd always choose a dress. Or, if I had a really tiny bag and was told I could only pack one piece to take on vacation, a dress would always be the one. Desert island? Definitely a dress. Save one item of clothing from a fire? I'd grab the dress. First dates, second dates, anniversaries, baby showers, weddings, interviews - basically, I know that I'll be ready for any situation in a great dress. Here's the problem: we live in Canada. And I know you can technically wear dresses all year long. It's just, well, I never really feel like wearing dresses in the winter. It's like Oscar-nominated movies that you know you should probably watch but you'd just rather binge on something light like Big Little Lies or Real Housewives.  Dresses in the winter just feel like a ton of work - you need to wear tights which always feel constricting and itchy, dresses look really dorky with Sorels and then there's the wind issue which is never fun.

Now that spring's finally here, I am all about dresses and rompers. Any day now, the temps will remain in the teens and then, I could pretty much put all of my other clothes in a storage box and live in dresses and rompers for the next 4 months. You can throw them on without a second thought - no mixing and matching anxiety, no outfit planning required - and always look lovely. They work during the week with heels or chic flats and on the weekends with runners. If your legs are pale or require some lunges, you can always rock a maxi. If you want to show them off, a cute little romper gets the job done, and then some. Basically what I'm trying to say is that you need some new dresses and rompers in your life. Scroll below for my top 40 pretty picks from New Sudbury Centre. Happy FriYAY!

TRANSITIONAL DRESSING 101 | How to Look Spring-Ready Right Now

via Telegraph.co.uk

Each year, Canadians can always count on certain sure signs that winter's on its way out. Whether it's that first crocus popping out of your garden or that dude who rocks shorts and sandals on the first warm day of the year, it's easy to tell when the warm weather's almost here. Emphasis on the almost. Spring likes to tease us with its flashes of sun and double digits one day, then wallop us with snow the next. Sure, dressing is a little tricky this time of year, but that shouldn't stop you from wearing your spring things now. I'm not going to wait for the weather to make up its mind - after all, my mind's already made up. I'm in love with all of the brights and florals and whites that signal the start of the warm season. Luckily, we don't have to wait any longer to wear this season's freshest finds - simply mix your winter and spring pieces to make transitional dressing a total breeze. Read on for how to look spring-ready right now. Happy weekend!

These 35 Accessories Will Get You So Excited for Spring

via Dynamite

-24ºC overnight tonight and it's March. I feel for you Sudbury. The sun might be out but it's not really doing its job. The light's on but nobody's home. Like, if the sun had a boss, it would be so fired, amirite? And so, I feel like today is the perfect time to talk spring. But instead of teasing you with cute sandals and flirty little dresses which you have no hope of actually wearing for the next few months, I'm sharing loads of fun accessories to brighten your day.

Colourful, fun and affordable, the new accessories coming into stores right now scream spring but don't require warm spring weather to wear them. Replace your heavy knit scarf with a pretty new pastel version. Let a pair of shoulder-skimming earrings get the spring party started, even if you're still wearing your toque. And nothing takes advantage of those sunny winter days quite like a new pair of mirrored sunglasses - I'm personally partial to pink.

Happy March and happy accessory shopping.  -24ºC: um yup, you totally deserve it ;)
